CAREER: Research on Weather and Climate Impacts of Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) Change – Supporting Technology-Driven Science Inquiry as Pedagogy
The early career support grant awarded to Professor Udayasankar Nair supports the development of his research and teaching program focusing on how land use affects weather and climate, and a shift from traditional deductive to inquiry-driven/ inductive pedagogical approaches to dynamic meteorology courses. SEEC’s evaluation consultation supports development of instruments and methods for assessing the impact of the pedagogical changes on student understanding, research generativity, and view of themselves as researchers.
