Levels of Conceptual Understanding of Statistics (LOCUS)

The LOCUS project uses evidence-centered design (ECD) techniques to develop an assessment of conceptual understanding of statistics for middle and high school students and their teachers based on the Guidelines for Assessment and Instruction of Statistics Education (GAISE) framework. SEEC’s evaluation of this project supported a rigorous process for development of the assessment, as well as formative and summative feedback about the impact of the project’s web-based professional development and test administration site.
